The LinkMASSter-2 IT is a compact unit, equipped with its High Speed USB 2.0 and FireWire-B interface and proprietary software, provides the IT Professional with the ideal tool to Backup, Restore, or Upgrade a PC or Notebook’s internal storage media without the need to open the unit.  Transfer rates can exceed 2.5GB/Min depending on the interface used and on the PC/Notebook performance.

LinkMASSter Application: The LinkMASSter application, combined with the unit’s built-in FireWire/USB interface, provides a fast and effective solution for copying data from an unopened PC or Notebook to an external hard drive connected to the LinkMASSter-II IT unit or copying data from the LinKMASSter-II IT unit to the PC or Notebook.  The application is run from the supplied bootable LinkMASSter CD. 

Intelligent Copy Option: The Intelligent Capture option (IQCopy) provides a fast method of copying Windows FAT-16, FAT-32 and NTFS files systems. The file system is analyzed and only the allocated drive space is copied.  The auto-partition scaling capability of IQCopy allows copying from smaller to larger drives.  Partitions are scaled to the size of the drive.

MultiMASSter: The MultiMASSter option provides the user with the ability to store multiple “software loads” to a single drive.  The user can then select and copy individual “software loads” from the MultiMASSter drive.  Depending on drive space, up to 24 loads can be stored on a single MultiMASSter drive. 

Hashing: The LinkMASSter application supports on-the-fly hashing using MD5, CRC32, SHA1 and SHA 256 for a sector-by-sector copy operation

WipeOut DoD Option: This option is designed to erase all data on disk drives.  WipeOut was designed to meet the U.S. Department of Defense specification DOD 5220-22M regarding the sanitization of hard disk drives.  Data is erased in multiple passes.

WipeOut Fast Option: The Wipeout Fast option provides a quick non-DoD method of sanitizing a drive of all previously stored data.  Data is erased in one pass.
